Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will provide essential support to both administrative and financial operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in daily tasks. Responsibilities: - Manage a high volume of incoming calls, addressing inquiries and directing them to the appropriate individuals. - Provide comprehensive administrative support, including calendar management and stepping in to cover responsibilities during absences. - Maintain an organized office environment to support smooth operations. - Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions. - Update and manage financial and purchasing data within the company's ERP system, such as Katana. - Process purchase orders and vendor invoices, ensuring they are tracked and reconciled accurately. - Reconcile financial transactions and assist in preparing reports for month-end closing activities. - Support internal teams by providing financial documentation and completing data entry tasks as required. Requirements - 1-3 years of experience in an accounting assistant, administrative, or bookkeeping role. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with formulas and pivot tables. - Familiarity with ERP systems, with experience in Katana being a plus. - Strong multitasking and communication skills, especially under high call volumes. - Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. - Ability to work independently and take initiative when needed. - Dependable and capable of maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
