*Description:*
The Department of Sociology and Program of Criminology at Hofstra University seeks part-time, adjunct faculty for sociology courses in the following areas: Introduction to Sociology, Sociology of Health and Illness, and Sociology of Race and Ethnicity.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Teaching core courses in Sociology, as named above.
* In-person classes.
* The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate students with diverse backgrounds and be committed to equitable and inclusive pedagogy.
*Qualifications:*
* Master's degree in Sociology required. Successful candidates will have demonstrated a commitment to promoting equity, diversity and inclusion in an educational environment.
*Preferred Quals Summary:*
* Sociology Doctoral students and PhDs
