What You'll Do:
Handle sophisticated litigation work in class actions, commercial disputes, and maritime law.
Work on interesting cases related to supply chain, technology, and efficient cargo transportation.
Contribute to our transactional practice, including our role as outside general counsel for some clients.
Provide legal advice to clients and conduct in-depth legal research.
Negotiate effectively on behalf of clients.
Communicate clearly and persuasively, both in writing and verbally.
Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Take depositions and develop your deposition skills.
Gain substantial California discovery experience.
What You'll Bring:
Membership in the California State Bar.
Experience providing legal advice and conducting legal research.
Strong negotiation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Interest in maritime law is a plus, but not required.
Experience with California employment laws and regulations or a willingness to learn.
Local to or commute-friendly to Long Beach (near the 405 & Lakewood Blvd.).
On-site work is required, but we also have a strong remote work capability to complement the on-site requirement.
