Job Description

The Planet Group is seeking a Business Analyst (Events) to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 5-month contract. This role will be 40 hours a week and is hybrid in Cupertino, CA, working onsite Tuesday-Thursday.

Duration : 5 months

Pay: Up to $78/hour, DOE

Responsibilities:

• Provide critical analysis and insights to help inform and optimize strategy and impact of the client's events.
• Design and build dashboards and data visualizations to help business users understand data and make informed decisions.
• Present findings in a meaningful and clear way.
• Help others understand the importance of analytics.
• Communicate and work with event creatives and technologists

Qualifications:

Education: BS or equivalent Degree - Marketing, Finance, Business Analytics, or related fields.

• Seasoned data scientist with 5+ years of experience developing analytical dashboards, solutions, and strategy across digital marketing platforms and social ecosystems.
• Excellent communicator with good design sense and natural presentation skills that can weave results into a narrative for business and creative teams to comprehend easily
• Excellent communication skills and experience working directly with creative and technology teams, as well as a wide array of business stakeholders
• A strong understanding of web analytics and digital marketing is a must
• Flexibility to deal with rapidly changing, time-constrained launch schedules
• Able to balance multiple projects and assignments
• Highly detail-oriented, organized, and patient
• Extremely proficient with Tableau and other Data Visualization tools
• Solid understanding of fundamental statistical concepts and measurement methodologies

NICE TO HAVE'S

• Strong working knowledge of SQL, Teradata preferred
• Strong working knowledge of process automation using scripting language (R / Python)
• Web Analytics (Adobe preferred)
