Job Description

Children's Meeting House Montessori School is seeking a visionary and compassionate Montessori Head of School to lead our community. Our ideal candidate is a mission-aligned leader who values community, transparency, and collaboration. This role offers the opportunity to guide a passionate team, support child-led learning in natural surroundings, and foster an environment rooted in Montessori philosophy.

Responsibilities

The Head of School is ultimately responsible for the day-to-day operations of the school. The Head of School's most important responsibility is to ensure that every student is supervised at all times by well-trained and qualified staff members, while ensuring that the school's operations and programs are consistent with the principles and practices of Montessori education. Additionally, the Head of School ensures the school complies with all pertinent regulations, earns the respect of peers, employees, parents, and must be a model of professionalism for parents, children, and staff.

Qualifications

Candidate will:

  • Hold an accredited Montessori Certification with a deep understanding of the Montessori Philosophy.
  • Proven educational leadership experience, specifically in an Education Administration role.
  • Master's Degree
  • Experience working directly with students in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills to manage the day-to-day operations of the school.
  • Be open-minded and growth oriented, willing to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise staff effectively while fostering a positive work culture.
  • Strong skills in fundraising, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

Children's Meeting House Montessori School is located in Loveland, Ohio and provides a structured, enriched education where children are empowered to learn and develop at a pace inspired by their own instinctive love of discovery. From preschool through Middle School, students are guided, challenged, and prepared for their futures using authentic Montessori lessons and materials.
