Position :  HR and Payroll Manage r
Location: New York, NY (on-site)

We are a fast-growing hospitality group with a portfolio of acclaimed restaurants and experiential venues in New York City. With a strong commitment to team culture and guest experience, we’re seeking an HR and Payroll Manager to lead our people operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources:

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for FOH and BOH roles, partnering with GMs and chefs.
• Oversee onboarding, training, employee files, and policy implementation.
• Handle conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary processes.
• Ensure compliance with NYC and NYS labor laws (e.g., Paid Sick Leave, wage notices).
• Administer benefits programs (health, PTO, etc.) and open enrollment.

Payroll:

• Oversee weekly payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees across multiple locations (Paycom platform would be preferable).
• Maintain tip reporting, overtime compliance, and garnishments.
• Collaborate with accounting on labor reporting and month-end reconciliation.
• Ensure W-2 and 1099 compliance and year-end filings.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of HR and payroll experience, ideally in the hospitality or service industry.
• Deep knowledge of NYC/NYS employment laws and hospitality wage practices.
• Spanish fluency is a plus.
• People-first mindset, highly organized, and able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
