Job Description

Your Role: Become the backbone of our warehouse operations by ensuring our refrigeration systems are always in top condition. Your expertise will keep our systems running smoothly, and our operations moving efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out repairs and adjustments on ammonia refrigeration systems, ensuring peak performance at all times.

• Routine maintenance of warehouse machinery in line with OSHA standards.

• Diagnose equipment issues and determine necessary corrective actions.

• Utilize instruments like multi-meters to test and evaluate equipment efficiency.

• Keep tools and machinery well-maintained, following provided guidelines.

• Ensure safety equipment meets OSHA and operational standards through regular tests.

• Maintain detailed preventive maintenance records.

• Adhere to 6S organizational practices and perform necessary housekeeping tasks.

• Be flexible with your shift schedule as needed, including being on-call.

• Engage in other maintenance duties and job assignments as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• A minimum of two years experience in Refrigeration and/or Maintenance

**Or**

• Certification in HVAC/R or a related technical degree

• Complete assigned courses on Industrial Refrigeration and mechanical-electrical systems.

• HAZMAT training and certification maintenance are mandatory.

• Basic computer skills required (handling emails, internet searches, and basic data entry).

Preferred Experience:

• Exposure to Cold Storage work environments

• Proficient with testing equipment

• Capable of diagnosing issues at the component level of refrigeration systems.

• Experience with Oracle CMMS

• Technical certification or degree

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job • May be required to tolerate working environment with inside controlled temperatures of –20 degrees Fahrenheit and outside ambient temperatures (including heat, cold and precipitation). • Must be able to work at heights in excess of 35 ft. and be able to access elevated platforms and catwalk. • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs. • Frequently required to stand; walk; push; pull; reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel; and crouch • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. • Must be able to use hand and power tools. • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception. Either naturally or with the aid of eye glasses (use of contacts are prohibited when working with ammonia). • Able to work nights and weekends. • Able to pass a physical and respiratory exam.
