Anticipated Interview Dates: We anticipate holding in-person interviews beginning the week of September 1, 2025.

Telework Information: This position requires full-time attendance in the office, working onsite five days per week.

Effective July 1, 2025, The California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025). The CalPERS Operations Support Services Division is recruiting to fill a Mailing Machine Operator II position in the Mass Mailing Operations Unit, Distribution and Operations Center. Under the general direction of the Business Services Officer (BSO) I Supervisor, the Mailing Machine Operator II manages the production and processing of high volumes of outgoing mail using advanced multi-functional equipment.

Working Conditions

  • This position is not eligible for telework and works onsite at the Sacramento, CA Headquarters five weekdays.
  • Work in a high-rise building. 
  • Work in a noisy environment with varying temperatures. 
  • Work with and/or move heavy objects. 
  • Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, bending, stooping, or kneeling. 
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard and read from computer screens several hours a day.

  • Ability to exhibit a high level of initiative, responsibility, and independence in providing technical support.
  • Ability to process large volumes of outgoing mail utilizing complex multi-functional equipment.
