The Converse Home, a respected nonprofit assisted living community in Burlington, is seeking an experienced and engaging Nurse Educator to support the professional development of our caregiving staff. This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and promoting quality care practices in a collaborative and resident-focused environment.

About the Role:
As Nurse Educator, you will lead our clinical training efforts by delivering engaging in-service programs, orienting new care staff, and ensuring compliance with state education requirements. You’ll also serve as our Infection Control Specialist, helping to maintain a safe and healthy home for residents and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage an annual in-service training calendar in collaboration with the Director of Nursing.
• Present and track required in-service education, ensuring all staff meet The Converse Home and State of Vermont requirements.
• Lead The Converse Home Medication Administration Program for personal care staff, preparing them to safely assist residents with medications.
• Create and deliver comprehensive onboarding training programs for newly hired RCAs, LPNs, and RNs.
• Conduct monthly infection control education for new hires and serve as the infection control specialist for the organization.
• Ensure that training materials and documentation are up to date and accessible for staff.

Qualifications:

• Current Vermont RN license required.
• Prior experience as a nurse educator, clinical trainer, or similar role strongly preferred.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and organization skills.
• Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control practices.
• Experience in assisted living, long-term care, or related settings is a plus.
• Passion for mentoring and supporting caregivers at all levels.
