PERIOPERATIVE RN Join our Surgical Team at Moab Regional Hospital! You play an essential role in the provision of care to our patients before, during, and after operations and procedures. You are efficient with a high level of attention to detail, and you are passionate about patient safety. Our ideal candidate must possess a comprehensive range of general nursing skills and be able to adapt and learn new skills without hesitation. Due to the rural location of MRH, this position will call on your ability to respond quickly and accurately in a wide variety of situations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their nursing skills. This position is a non-exempt, full-time, benefitted position. Anticipated schedule: Weekdays. Requires rotating on call responsibilities, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Minimum requirements: Current, unencumbered RN licensure in Utah or compact state Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Current BLS certification; current ACLS certification or ability to obtain within three months of hire Available to take on average 7-9 days of call per month with 20 minute response time to hospital Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions A great team player with excellent communication skills including oral, written, and listening Cool tempered with emotional and physical stamina and the ability to respond effectively in stressful situations with changing circumstances Preferred qualifications: Knowledge of surgical operation procedures is a bonus Prior experience in pre-op and/or PACU Be skilled in Pre-op, PACU, and Circulating all General, Ortho, & O.B. cases (C-sections!!) Be available to help in TRAUMA cases in the E.R. Be skilled at a level that he/she feels confident in caring for surgical patients in the middle of the night as the only O.R. nurse in house during emergency call cases.
