The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Physical Therapist Senior provides ongoing evaluation and assessment of patients using standardized tests, measurements and direct observation. Under the guidance of the Director, the Physical Therapist Senior assists with program development, education, and marketing.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor's, Master's or DPT degree or certificate in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• Current license from NJ State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners

Scheduling Requirements:

• Shift Working, Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
• Full-Time (FT)

Essential Functions:

• Determine jointly with the Rehabilitation Services Director and contracted colleges and universities the objectives and organization of the department's clinical education program
• Work with other department coordinators/ lead therapists to ensure consistency of standards for in-service and continuing education within the department
• Maintain or provide for the maintenance of records and reports pertaining to clinical education in Physical Therapy
• Complete and update Clinical Center Information Forms for contracted colleges and universities
• Assist with the process as needed for other department services
• Assist with coordination of student affiliations
• Schedule in-service training
• Coordinate and ensure completion of all mandatory hospital and department education and competencies
• Complete or provide for completion of all applicable forms, lists and education records
• Present in-service education as requested following attendance of continuing education courses and on areas of expertise or interest
• Contribute to hospital and community education within the scope of knowledge as requested
• Perform the duties of a physical therapist, including ongoing evaluation and assessment, goal and care planning and provision of treatment to inpatients in acute care, LTACH, and outpatients
• Retain responsibility for the physical therapy care of the patient being treated by the physical therapist assistant through direct supervision
• Complete written or computerized documentation in the medical record as it pertains to the patient's status
• Complete all other forms, documents and letters as necessary
• Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences, patient and family meetings and other committees and meetings as assigned
• Maintain knowledge of current laws and standards of practice as it relates to physical therapy
