Job Description

FUNCTIONAL PURPOSE:

Serves as a senior analyst for product management programs and initiatives; leads the design, development, implementation, and management of large-scale, cross-functional projects and initiatives to develop innovative products, services, and new solutions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Leads cross-functional project teams to research, analyze, develop, implement, and integrate emerging technology trends, insights, and best practices into new solutions for products and services. Provides direction and guidance to team members regarding product management design, development, and implementation strategies and best practices.

2. Manages full lifecycles for multiple large-scale systems and applications supporting products and services. Partners with cross-functional stakeholders to identify technical solutions and translate these business requirements into actionable solutions that can be integrated into systems, products, and programs.

3. Collects and analyzes system and application related data to identify trends, insights, and action items based on findings. Evaluates effectiveness of systems and processes to identify solutions and ensure the timely resolution of outstanding defects or issues impacting the business. Researches root causes of identified discrepancies with systems or applications and develops recommendations for potential solutions and improvements.

4. Partners cross-functionally with technical stakeholders to configure, implement, and test functionality of systems, troubleshoot discrepancies, and propose alternative solutions and recommendations. Ensures products and solutions adhere to organizational standards and address business requirements.

5. Leads the development and design of technical architecture solutions. Partners with stakeholders to identify and mitigate identified risks, costs, limitations, change management, and opportunities related to proposed solution designs.

6. Manages integrated project plans; develops objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for evaluating products and services. Evaluates performance of products and services against established metrics and summarizes trends and insights. Develops and presents recommendations for improvement to stakeholders.

7. Leads the development of proposals including financial costs, resources, and business rationale to support investment decisions. Researches and develops business cases to support creation and implementation of new products and services. Identifies and develops business needs statements to document technical requirements for products and services.

8. Manages budgets for projects within assigned area including estimating project costs and monitoring actual spend against budget.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Ability to write and translate business requirements/user stories into technical specifications and to present logical process flows to customers to achieve project objectives.
  2. Ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional teams sufficient to provide technical guidance, develop business requirements, solutions, and recommendations.
  3. Ability to lead full project management lifecycle activities for complex large-scale system application projects from ideation to completion including breakdown, resource estimating, project planning, tracking/oversight, scheduling tasks, negotiating deliverables, project administration and status reporting.
  4. Knowledge of business information systems, software development processes, and system integration to develop strategies and alternative solutions for managing and integrating technologies supporting products and services.
  5. Knowledge of products, programs, and services sufficient to evaluate functionality and develop recommendations for integrating solutions into existing programs and processes.
  6. Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of products and services sufficient to lead the development and implementation of revenue generating innovative new solutions and deliverables tailored to meet business requirements and customer needs.
  7. Ability to develop a business case to justify project funding for initiation of projects, including cost estimation, development of budgetary requirements, and analysis of staffing requirements.
  8. Ability to communicate orally and in writing information at a level of complexity appropriate to the audience sufficient to provide technical guidance to others and prepare and present reports, status updates, and briefings for leadership.
