Psychiatrist

Location: Oakland, California
Position Type: Part-Time (2 days/week) or Full-Time
Salary Range: $149,760 – $166,400 DOE

Position Overview
A licensed Psychiatrist is needed to provide specialized behavioral health services in a collaborative care setting. Responsibilities include psychiatric assessments, treatment planning, medication management, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. This role supports patients with complex psychiatric presentations using a combination of therapeutic and pharmacologic interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
• Design and oversee individualized care plans tailored to patient needs
• Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications with attention to efficacy and tolerability
• Work alongside therapists, social workers, and support staff for seamless care delivery
• Maintain complete and timely clinical documentation
• Provide case input during team meetings and participate in community mental health efforts

Requirements

• MD or DO with completed psychiatry residency
• Board Certified in Psychiatry (ABPN)
• Active California Medical License
• Experience in complex or high-needs psychiatric care preferred
• Strong decision-making skills and ability to collaborate across care teams
