Job Title: Resident Engineer

Location: Dallas, TX (Westlake Area)- Onsite 2 days a week

Duration: 6+ month extendable long term contract

Rate: $75/hr on W2

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Resident Engineer to join our dedicated network engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience in multi-vendor networking environments and the ability to support lab deployments and enterprise-grade networking solutions. This individual will be embedded with our team and involved in the early-stage development of a new lab to support multi-private network (MPN) solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience working hands-on across multiple systems including Cisco, Ericsson, and possibly Opplane.
• Support the buildout and ongoing operations of customer's new lab environment.
• Provide technical expertise for dedicated wireless networks that extend customers' enterprise connectivity.
• Configure various network nodes, execute test plans, and perform debugging for system failures.
• Record, analyze, and document results to inform engineering decisions and ensure knowledge sharing across the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex networking issues across enterprise and cloud platforms.
  
  Top Priorities

1. Lead and support efforts related to MPN (Multi-Private Networks).
2. Provide cross-vendor expertise with Cisco, Ericsson, Juniper, etc.
3. Offer strong enterprise networking capabilities.
4. Leverage experience or interest in cloud computing and automation tools.
5. Foster a collaborative, team-focused approach to lab operations and problem-solving.
   
   Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering, systems testing, or lab-based environments.
• Strong technical background in Cisco, Ericsson, and/or Juniper networking.
• Hands-on experience in lab setups, node configuration, and network diagnostics.
• Knowledge of enterprise network architectures, cloud computing environments, and automation frameworks.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to dive deep into failures and provide data-driven resolutions.
• Effective communicator and collaborative team member who is open to learning and sharing knowledge.
  
  
  
  Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience working in or with service providers or large-scale enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with wireless network extensions, MPN solutions, or Opplane platforms.
• Exposure to scripting or automation tools (Python, Ansible, etc.).
