Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic hospitality professional to become the RV Resort Manager of the Happy Traveler RV Resort in Thonotosassa, FL. The RV Resort Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily operations of 461 RV sites and 92 cabins with a team of approximately 15 team member , while ensuring the highest standards of quality, guest satisfaction, and operational performance. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a passion for hospitality.

Position Summary:

The RV Resort Manager is responsible for the overall operations, staff supervision, guest experience, cleanliness, maintenance oversight, and financial performance of the cabins. This role ensures high standards of hospitality, quality control, and team leadership to maintain high standards of service and cleanliness, and ensure the cabins operate efficiently, safely, and profitably.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations including guest check-in/check-out, reservations, and guest inquiries. An ensuring a positive guest experience.
  • Ensure all cabins and facilities meet company quality and safety standards.
  • Inspect cabins regularly for cleanliness, functionality, and safety compliance.
  • Address and resolve guest concerns related to cabin accommodation promptly and professionally.
  • Manage utility systems (water, electric, sewer, Wi-Fi) and report outages or issues promptly.
  • Monitor inventory of supplies, linens, and amenities and place orders as needed.
  • Work closely with maintenance staff to ensure all equipment, appliances, and HVAC systems in cabins are functional.

Team Leadership:

  • Hire, train, schedule, and manage staff including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance teams.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to all resort staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and support professional development initiatives.
  • Ensure teams understand and implement the brand’s service philosophy.

Guest and Customer Service:

  • Deliver excellent customer service, address guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Foster a welcoming and community-oriented atmosphere for long-term and short-term guests.
  • Experience with and willingness to learn technology-based applications: Blue Suede Hospitality Group operates a tech-forward guest experience. Knowledge of and managing in a tech-forward operational environment will be critical for success, including:
  • Understanding how to set up task management templates in online systems.
  • Communicating to internal team members via messaging applications.
  • Troubleshooting remote access control issues.
  • Knowledge of and troubleshooting building connectivity issues
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and operational analysis.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety codes.
  • Maintain up-to-date licenses, permits, and insurance.
  • Enforce safety protocols for guests and staff.

Administrative & Financial Oversight:

  • Analyze performance data, including budgets, revenue, and operational efficiency metrics.
  • Develop strategies to enhance profitability while maintaining high service standards.
  • Conduct quality audits and compliance reviews in partnership with leadership.

Qualifications:

  • 3 plus years of experience (cabin, lodge, or hotel) preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to manage budgets, prioritize tasks, and lead a team.
  • Proficiency with reservation software (Cloudbeds, preferred), Microsoft Office, and basic tech systems.
  • Flexible schedule with ability to respond to emergencies after hours if needed.
  • Knowledge of campground regulations and ADA compliance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk the property regularly
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Requires flexibility during peak seasons and events.
