Job Description

The SENIOR PARKING EVENT MANAGER is responsible for overseeing parking operations, revenue collections, and staff during events. Additionally, they will serve as the main point of contact with the client and ownership group for all operational considerations and coordination. The Senior Parking Event Manager is responsible for forecasting demand, setting parking rates, using historical data to make informed decisions for future events and effectively communicate with tenants and patrons. The Senior Parking Event Manager reports to the Area Manager.

Principal Job Duties:

  • Serve as Primary Point of Contact with client and ownership on all parking related decisions and operational execution.
  • Interview, Hire, Train and Schedule Lot Attendants accordingly for each Event Day.
  • Assist with developing Standard Operating Procedures and continuous improvements and be able to follow and implement the procedures with all levels of staff and patrons.
  • Serve as the resident expert on Point-of-Sale Technology and Business Intelligence reporting dashboards and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Supervise campus parking facilities and direct event staff during events.
  • Ensure that event staff under your supervision understand all SOPs pertaining to their duties and provide refresher training, as necessary.
  • Direct traffic within parking facilities.
  • Communicate with event management and traffic control during the event, as well as before and after the event if necessary.
  • Drop, move, and pick up parking equipment (cones, barricades, signs, etc.), as required.
  • Handle and safeguard credit card transactions/cash (if collected) before, during, and after select events, as required.
  • Work independently, and, at times, unsupervised.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, customers, and employees.
  • Serve as an extension of the onsite Client Property Management team and assist in other duties as assigned.
  • This is a position that requires flexibility, and the ideal candidate will be able to work a schedule commensurate with the Events taking place in and around the immediate area.

Education:

  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Experience:

  • Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience with Event or Venue management required.
  • Previous experience in customer relations.

Skills:

  • Excellent team-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded).
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with diverse cultures.

  • Must be able to work unsupervised.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds
  • Working outside in different climates
