Summary/Objective

The Software Engineer Support will be responsible for troubleshooting and analyzing application issues, addressing technical queries from customers, and ensuring our optimal software performance through careful analysis and maintenance. This role involves collaborating with a team of software engineers to solve complex challenges using cloud, mobile and web technologies. Additionally, the Software Engineer Support will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, work closely with end users, and actively participate in the Agile development process.

Essential Functions

• Ability to resolve complex issues, ensure system stability, and enhance user experience by leveraging the latest technologies and cloud API services. Skilled in developing industry-leading software for mobile, IoT, and .NET platforms.
• Provide technical assistance by troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving product or service-related issues.
• Ability to collaborate with product owners and development team members to identify and resolve application issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis of problems and provides resolution.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues.
• Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams.
• Applies principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to optimize the software development process.
• Conduct demo sessions for end users.
• Maintain knowledge base articles to improve self-service capabilities.
• Work with geographically distributed teams in a timely manner to complete assigned projects

Competencies

• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts
• Excellent grasp of relational database design and querying concepts
• Experience with version control concepts, particularly Git, including branching and merging
• Full-stack technology skills and experience - Including .NET, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, React.js, HTML, CSS, IoT, (Ubuntu Linux, C++, JavaScript, Bash scripting)
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field OR equivalent experience
• Two (2)+ years of software support experience in .Net and REACT JS.
• Two (2)+ years of relational database experience including schema design and SQL

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are variable and based on business need. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Physical Requirements

This position is indoors. Must be able to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period. May be asked to lift approximately 25 lbs. Exposure to moderate noise and light, i.e business office with computers, phone, printers, light foot traffic.
