We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist for a 12-week assignment to perform diagnostic sonographic procedures with a focus on OB/GYN, vascular, neonatal, and abdominal exams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.
Position Summary:
Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist
Location: Staten Island, NY 10310
Schedule: M-F with some weekends (8x5)
Shift: Days (8AM-4PM EST)
Pay Range: $2750-$3250/ Gross Weekly DOE
Responsibilities:
· Perform high-quality ultrasound exams according to established protocols.
· Obtain accurate images with proper patient positioning and sonographic technique.
· Demonstrate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and sonographic principles.
· Explain procedures clearly to patients to reduce anxiety.
· Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided procedures.
· Ensure patient charges and procedure tracking are accurately recorded.
· Prepare and clean exam rooms; maintain equipment and supplies.
· Verify patient identity and confirm the correct exam.
· Read and follow physicians’ orders accurately.
Requirements:
· High school diploma or GED.
· Graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Ultrasound.
· ARDMS certification (or eligible with certification required within 6 months of hire).
· Minimum 2 years of OB/GYN ultrasound experience.
