Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Healthcare Data Analytics Manager to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team. In this role, you will manage healthcare-related data analytics and business insights, working closely with various teams. You will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that support informed decision-making and drive improvements in patient care, operational efficiency, and performance metrics.
Responsibilities:
Data Collection and Management:
Oversee the collection, cleaning, and storage of healthcare data from various sources (e.g., electronic health records, billing systems, patient surveys).
Ensure strict adherence to privacy regulations such as HIPAA, ensuring patient data remains protected.
Data Integration and Transformation:
Integrate data from different sources (clinical, financial, operational) to create comprehensive datasets for decision-making.
Transform raw data into a structured format using tools like SQL, Python, or ETL processes, making it ready for analysis.
Analytics and Reporting:
Utilize data analytics tools (such as Python, R, Excel, or Power BI) to analyze data and extract meaningful insights.
Develop automated dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to patient care, hospital performance, and operational efficiency.
Predictive Analytics:
Leverage machine learning and predictive modeling techniques to forecast patient outcomes, readmission rates, and identify operational bottlenecks.
Use historical data to uncover trends and patterns, helping to improve both clinical and administrative decision-making.
Core Competencies:
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Exceptional data analysis and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for business decisions.
Familiarity with healthcare-specific predictive models and frameworks (e.g., hospital readmission models, patient flow models).
Experience building reports that present complex data in an easily understandable and actionable format for healthcare professionals.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working in a virtual team setting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, statistics, mathematics, finance, economics, healthcare administration, or a related field (preferred).
5+ years of experience in healthcare, insurance, or senior living industries (preferred).
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft SQL.
Strong understanding of statistical methods for interpreting clinical and operational data.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook and Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with Point Click Care, Python/R, and Power BI (preferred).
